I Love Photography! For me it is a passion that I have taken to heart. I have this insatiable thirst to learn and excel in this craft. I consider myself first and foremost an artist. My skill and ability to produce beautiful images comes from my imagination. I am very fortunate to have this gift of being able to visualize the outcome of my images before even capturing them. It is also through Photography that I am able to share with other people the beauty that I see through my own eyes. Indeed Digital Photography has become the medium for me to express my zest for the colors of life. My goal is to become a well known respected Professional Photographer in the field of Weddings, Portraiture, Fashion, and Conceptual Fine Art Photography, while expressing and sharing to everyone what is beautiful to me. As I continue to strive for excellence, please feel free to view my albums and kindly give your comments and critiques on the images that you see. I do thank each and everyone of you who have commented, critiqued, and appreciated my pictures in one way or the other. All of you are an inspiration to me, and I look forward to continue capturing beautful images in my pursuit for excellence in the Art of Digital Photography. Till then... | | It was a great honor and privilege to shoot for International French Hip Hop Rap Star, "Shake". I shot these pix for their website/blog which will be featuring some of these shots that I took.
Can't wait to do your next album cover.
Special thanks to Karen, and Xavier... And of course to SHAKE the Man!
Peace Yo! |
| | It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, and I was with some of my photographer buddies to do a summer themed shoot. We were very fortunate to have with us some really great models. Namely, Breezely, Tin, Celine, and Aian. |
| | Just a few pictures from a wedding I shot last Jan 27, 2008 at Vivere Hotel in Filinvest Alabang. Best Wishes to Haidee & Jose Vaquer. :D |
| | I've managed to upload a few pictures sofar. Most of these are the one's with the great people who were with me to share the really cool experience.
As early as now, I ask for your patience for the so so quality and limited number of pictures uploaded. I just had to reformat my mac, and will be selling it to someone within the week to get myself a new one. I have only managed to edit one image when I still had my old laptop.
In the meantime, I am just uploading all these unedited images that have been untouched.
I'm also struggling in using my dad's pc laptop to upload these images which I can't seem to even crop a single image. So my apologies for the not so great images. But I know you guys want to see some pics, so I thought I'd post a few in the interim while I'm waiting to purchase and customize my new laptop.
Except for the cover page which has been edited, the rest are still in raw format so the colors and details might look a little dull. Try to visit my homepage from time to time, and you should be able to see the difference once I am able to do some minor editing with these pics, using my new system.
Again, many thanks to everyone!!! |
| | My last major project was for MyAyala's online website specifically for this coming Valentine season.
I spent a whole day up to the wee hours of the night taking studio shots of a truck load of flowers.
It was my most challenging shoot yet sofar, inspite of my subjects being stationary and all. The most difficult part in shooting these flowers was to make sure that they would look appealing to me if i were a prospect buyer who would purchase them online for a loved one.
I must say the hardest to shoot were the bouquets. They had to be shot at certain angles that would still make them look upright and perky.
I had to make sure that they were positioned in such a way while on top of a product table not to have the bottom end of the flowers look like as if they were being pressed down.
Well, thanks again to the great people from MyAyala who were there to keep me company and assist me throughout the whole day shoot.
Here's some samples I thought I'd share.... |
| | I had the great honor and privilege of covering Globe Telecoms appreciation night for their clients, held at the One Esplanade convention center in Manila last December 13, 2007.
The event was well attended, with the the theme, "Glit and Glamour". The night was hosted by the beautiful Angel Jacob, and Bianca Valerio. Luis Manzano was the male host for the night.
There were alot of fantastic performers from the likes of Lani Misalucha, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Issay Alvarez just to name a few.
Congratulations to Globe for making the event such a great success.
Please do stick around for more pics. I am still in the process of sorting them out.

| | December 29, 2007 Easton Place Penthouse in Makati is where CSA Batch 92 held their 15th year reunion. It was great to see alot of old friends, and familiar faces. Some lost their hair, some added more... In terms of body weight, I guess alot of you would have to agree that all of us added a few lbs. Hehehe.
On a serious note, it was really nice to see each and everyone of you. There were still alot who weren't able to attend, most of them from what we heard are already living successfully outside the country. Cheers to all our overseas batchmates!!! Maybe someday when you guys are in town, we could all catch up with a couple of drinks or so.
Finally, we do hope that this becomes a yearly thing at the very least. And to the usual suspects who are always present in these reunions, it would be nice if we could do this regularly.
Again, I would like to thank the organizers and to those who pledged their contributions, and of course to all the guys who were there. All of you made this reunion a success. And of course allow me to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to cover the event.
Happy New Year to all our batch mates and their families!!! I look forward to seeing you guys again soon. Hopefully, it won't take another 15 years for us to get together once again.
St. Augustine, pray for us.

| | Here are some pictures I shot for Globe Telecoms Corporate Enterprise Website. I used Nikon's CLS (Creative Lighting System) to capture some of the choice images that I've posted here.
You can check out the website here: enterprise.globe.com.ph/Default.aspx |
| | Kharu is a lovely model who worked with us during my one day workshop with Manny Librodo. Here is a collection of some of the pics that I took of her during that day.
Kharu has also been dubbed as, "The Chameleon" for her ability to change her look. What's really amazing about this beautiful woman is that she does her own makeup, hair, costumes, and accessories.
She also knows how to project different types of emotions to the photographer. I truly enjoyed working with her, and I look forward to working with her again someday. |
| | This Globe event was held last Dec. 11, 2007 at MagNet Cafe at the Bonifacio High Street, The Fort,Taguig City by Innove Communications, Inc. The event was specifically for their Partners, Channels, and WIZ affiliates.
The title of the event was, "Disco Fiasco" with a supposed 70's theme. The night was well attended. The night capped off with a dinner, gameshow, comedy show, awarding ceremony, and a liveband.
To all those who were in attendance during the event, please feel free to browse through the album to view your pictures, and remind you of the fun filled experience you had during the party.
Cheers!!!

| | In this Album, I will be posting pictures of individual portraiture sessions I have now been doing in between my wedding engagements for my now growing number of clients.
This will also be my portfolio for those who are considering my services.
I am incorporating some photography techniques like Nikon's CLS (Creative Lighting System) and a unique post processing workflow that I've managed to combine and incorporate to my own style that truly makes up, Miguel Donida Photography. |

| | This is my first attempt to use Nikon's CLS. I used two SB800's as slaves, triggered by my Nikon D80's internal flash.
I think I will be experimenting more on CLS. I just love the effects that you can do. The results are simply amazing. |

| | This album will pretty much document all my travels that I have made since I started taking photography, particularly with a DSLR. I started out with a Canon system, but I have shifted to Nikon since.
So most of the pics that you will see here were taken by my Canon 350D and my Sony w100 point and shoot.
I look forward to sharing the next wave of my travel photographs using my Nikon system.
